Program FAQ

Quick answers for families, teachers, and school administrators.

How long does the program run?

The core challenge runs April 1 through May 1. Teachers can set goals that fit their classroom while still following the main reward structure.

What reading counts?

Teachers define the goal framework for their class. Most age-appropriate reading formats can count, including books and approved reading materials.

How do students claim rewards?

Students turn in signed forms from their teacher and family. Halfway rewards are redeemed at Food + Farm, and ticket rewards at Witter Field or the front office.

Can Rosco visit schools?

Yes. Schools can request a Rosco P. Rafter visit during kickoff or mid-program to boost excitement and participation.

Is there any cost for schools or families?

No. The program is free to participate in. Students earn rewards based on completed reading goals.
